Austin’s finest Chad Cisneros and Dave Reed return to Enhanced with another stand out release. Utopia is without a doubt one of those ‘instant’ records that quite literally slaps you about the face repeatedly with its quite brilliant arrangement!
With a bassline worthy of rocking any crowd, and a synth line to die for, we’re pretty certain this is the boys’ best instrumental track yet… and having heard what they have in store for 2010, don’t be surprised if Tritonal is a name on everyone’s lips come the end of the year. It’s been on mine for 2 years now, is it on yours yet?
Remix duties fall to the undeniably brilliant Arty; another fantastic talent to look out for this year, and as with his Trapeze remix, he delivers a brilliantly lush and slick rework of the original. Also featured is Tritonal’s own reworking for early set plays, a lovely progressive take on the uplifting original.
Bissen gets back on the radar with fresh new reworks of two of his most requested tracks. Firstly his collaboration with vocalist Victoria Gross which dropped off the radar when the original label ceased trading and has, until now, only been available on very limited vinyl. Well not anymore it isn’t….
Bissen has reworked his originals bringing them bang up to date and showcasing Victoria’s soulful vocal to maximum effect. Also included in the package is John O’Callaghan’s original 2005 remix which stands the test of time very well making it perfect for both collectors and for JOC’s legion of new and old fans.
Continuing on the rework theme, Bissen this time turns his attention to “Sand”, again giving it the full makeover treatment this time coupled with the added bonus of a brand new FEI-FEI remix. As a final bonus, Bissen trips us out with his down tempo chillout mix of Like I Do – perfect for those post club moments, and we all know what those are typically like. I don’t normally highlight single tracks, but this track from a 3 track EP, stood out so much that I had to give credit where credit is due. This track melts what I consider to be the best elements of Armin van Buuren, John Askew and John O’Callaghan’s sound to create a unique, driving and uplifting trance tune that is sure to raise the hair on your neck.
I’d love to say more, but I’ll let you all be the judge, for a high quality sample, hit up the read more link! If you’re looking for more info on Running Man I wish thee good luck. If you’ve got some dirt, hit us up in the comments, we’re dying to know more!

running out of colors gents?
Well, its deep into 2010 and Finity has finally unleashed its first release of the year, and after their hot finish to 2009, it’s no surprise to hear this solid release come from the hands of yet another talented Finnish trance producer. Thomas is no stranger to trance, neither is he a stranger to the Finity camp as this is his 4th release on the imprint.
This latest packs 3 tracks, each original productions, that span progressive soundscapes and plant themselves firmly in euphoric trance. Imaginary Friends is a catchy little number that pushes the pace some and includes some dreamy female vocals; while Walking Against It is more David West/Joonas Hahmo in style, once again featuring some great cut up and effected vocals. The last track is probably the most likable, with its Niklas Grosswald like sound that would fit perfectly early on in a slamming trance set. Don’t miss The One You Love!

Towards the end of 2009 Activa released his debut artist album “This World”. The producer who less than a year before had been described by Paul Van Dyk as the “Best Producer of 2008″ duly delivered one of the best dance albums of 2009 and cemented his place amongst dance music’s production elite.
One of the features of the album was a series of collaborations with some of Activa’s favourite producers and it is his collaboration with Vandit superstar Giuseppe Ottaviani that is the backbone of Discover’s latest release which includes the original album version and a fresh new remix from Giuseppe. If that wasn’t enough Discover have also included Activa’s brand new “club” version of the album track “Don’t Leave Me” which brings the release home in suitably uplifting style!

Oliver Picart aka Oliver P has come a long way since his colab project ‘Fast Distance’ with Franz Hlusek aka Arpegia created mayhem everywhere around the globe. Their furiously epic journey into trance came to a sad end when they decided to part their ways. Now, Oliver P presents his maiden solo record on Enhanced titled as ‘Lost Without You’, with a remix from another French duo – Karybde & Scylla. Before this he has also remixed Redstar’s latest banger – ‘Evolution’, in case you’ve heard it. Also included the original mix of ‘Philadelphia’. Time to check out some hot ch00ns ATM…!!

This is the brand new tune from Jan Oostyk! After his latest ‘Eivissa Eivissa’ tune last year he delivers another quality trance record and though this isn’t going to be a thorough review, I thought it was definitely worth posting so you could check it out. This track reeks of summer, has a wonderfully classic vibe and has a symphonic melody that is absolutely mesmerizing and beyond powerful.
If you ever wondered what a 2010 hybrid cross between Push and Ferry Corsten might sound like, look no further my friends. It’s been nearly 3 years since Jonas has produced under this uplifting alias and if this first gem of 2010 is any indication, this Swedish producer is in top form and ready to storm dance floors!
Nightfall comes in two flavours: On the A side we’ve got an uplifting and driving Original Mix while on the B side we’re treated to a Rough Mix that sharpens up the edges into blunt weapons of audible destruction. Both tracks are full of energy, and they certainly stand out from the typical crowd of TATW/ASOT dribble that so many younger producers are peddling.

Mondo godfather and UK mastermind producer Darren Tate kicks 2010 off in fine style with a super hot EP setting up the path to his eagerly awaited third album ‘Horizons 03’. Straight on the back foot of his massive rework of the Angelic classic “It’s My Turn” and last year’s stunning “When The Morning Comes”, Darren returns to deliver more of that Tate magic with his new two track EP.
Kicking off the EP is the beautifully crafted “Tokyo”, a banging peak-time cut that manages to blend eastern culture with Tate’s trademark razor sharp production. With its addictive melodies, gorgeous breakdown and thumping bass line Tokyo is Tate at his best. On the flip you’ll find “Vespers”, an equally timeless production that incorporates beautiful chords and stirring emotional melodies as only Darren knows how. Vespers is quite simply an uplifting and emotional masterpiece that will cause major damage on the dance floor in 2010.

Is this shade of red becoming more and more familiar yet?
Suncatcher joins Enhanced after impressing during 2009 with several standout releases. With several remixes and originals in the pipeline for 2010 on Enhanced he kicks off his account with two superb uplifting trancers.
Heading the package is Wildflowers. Packed with soaring pads and blissful piano lines, backed up by a beastly bottom end this is a real crowd pleaser. With a huge breakdown, giving one of those classic hands in the air moments, this will no doubt be a stand out track for the young producer. The flip see’s Ocean City up the pace and intensity with its no holds barred approach and quite blistering main lead.
An incredibly strong double header from this young talent; and this is just the start of things to come; 2010 will be a great year for him. Read on past the break for some high quality samples!
