Making their debut EP release on Dangerbox Recordings, we welcome “Second Way” with their two track EP titled The Friend.
This release has the perfect balance between soft progressive grooves and rough edgy basslines, a balance that is becoming harder and harder to find for many of today’s young producers. Second Way brings us two melodic tracks with a twist of dirt and pride in them along with a remix from Teana & Tilda. Teana & Tilda provide a soft progressive version of Second Way’s monster “The Friend Always Remains The Friend.”
Adding to the release’s charm is the cover art, something that sets apart Dangerbox from other labels. This is truly a visual and audio pleasure. Read on past the break for some high quality samples and be sure to vote for your favorite!
Initially featured on Digitally Enhanced Volume Two by Will Holland, Arctic Kiss has been one of our most demanded releases. Now backed with a rather large remix pack and spread across two releases we don’t think this will disappoint! Toss in the lovely vocals of Tiff Lacey and you’ve got a storming progressive beast that has all the weight it needs to muscle it’s way onto the top!
Part one on the Enhanced Progressive label features the more progtrance oriented mixes from the flying Scotsman Andy Duguid; a producer / Dj who needs no introduction after an incredible two years that has seen him rise to his current peak, and secondly from the brilliant Sami Saari, of Captured fame. Both versions encompass the vocals whilst adding their own instantly recognisable style, and doing so in devastating style.
Look out for part two following soon, with the original, alongside stunning remixes from Andy Blueman and Jonas Hornblad. Read on past the break for high quality samples and to vote for your favorite of this 1st of 2 packs!
Phynn loves a surprise every now and then, and we’re sure you do too! This time he brings us a lovely track on the pop tip, not his typical style, with the vocals of Antonia from the Canadian band Jets Overhead. GO CANADA GO. Hello Love makes for a great single, and you will surely agree that the true electronic dance sound of the production forms a perfect basis for Antonia’s angelic vocals. Am I right?
Phynn’s Hello Love caught the attention of Ferry Corsten, who immediately reserved it for his upcoming mix compilation, and we’re sure it’s caught your attention now too. Adding to the already catchy Original Mix are two new versions, one by Mr Pit, and another by Passive Progressive. Read on past the break as I’ve got a quick rundown of each version, high quality samples for each, and a lovely voting poll!

Tim Preijers returns to Enhanced with the long awaited Offshore. Backed with two stunning remixes, this is a huge, long awaited release on Enhanced Recordings. Tim’s name is not a household name just yet, but this Dutch producer has all the makings of a major star. Tight production skills are at the base of his sound, and it’s no surprise he’s being canned by all the world’s top jocks.
Along with the starry night Original Mix are two remixes. Temple One’s remix has everything his worldwide army of fans loves about him – energy, drive, soaring pads and once again, an absolute killer of a main hook; truly outstanding stuff from the young Brit once again!
Armada favourite and popping his Enhanced cherry is another producer famed for his powerful productions, Arctic Moon who again doesn’t disappoint those keen on his style as his version amps the emotion up a level, creating a track that will certainly please those looking to raise the hair on their skin!

Well, this is the first I hear of these new producers, but it seems I ended up missing out on a rather massive debut remix by the duo that was picked up by Stoneface & Terminal and Above & Beyond on their respective radio shows! Time for me to check out Unalduterated by Oen Bearen.
As for this release the blokes have combined forces to present 2 original productions: Autumn Equinox and Lost Thoughts. Both tracks are most definitely on the progressive tip, each showcasing careful attention to detail, and an infectious groove. On remix duties are Slater n Stone, and they deliver a remix that is more atmospheric, dark and big room friendly than the Original Mix of Autumn Equinox.

Subtle percussion, thick beats, lush strings and synths, an immensely intense break and soft whispers of love passing by flood your ears as you set this track on endless repeat.
This surely is one of those tracks that makes you realize that the hot weather is most definitely on its way. With the style of their sound anything but backwards it’s only the name Reverse that’s not moving forward at break neck pace. Their debut release on VANDIT last year in the form of the pumping euphoric anthem ‘Distant Destiny’ was one of the most successful releases in 2009 and #1 on the beatport genre chart. It blew the ears off many an electronic music fan with its ripping beats and uplifting melody. It introduced many to the name Reverse as they are a new face on the scene, or should we say faces? Because behind the alias lies the trio responsible for the audio carnage, Gil La, Kyo and Dj Ray.
The three like minded electronic music fans are well know DJ’s over in the states and between the three of them spun alongside the likes of Sean Tyas, Ferry Corsten, Matt Darey and Marcus Schulz. As skilful as they are DJ’s it’s their production etiquette that has caught our eye and now the second doge of it will be unleashed on VANDIT’s digital imprint.
Absolute Reality is the name for the trio’s next big trance fused euphoric anthem. Sequencing together a rich bubbling bass line with impacting beats and percussion Reverse pump up the tempo and the temperature with their new recording. It’s pure Reverse with no extra preservatives and going on the uplifting synthesized melody on show here it’s a release that doesn’t need any. Arty graces the b side with progressive trance rework that will melt even the coldest heart.
If you have not yet come across Reverse now would be a very good time to put that right. They are one of the many emerging talents we are pound to a roof under here on VANDIT, even if they keep blowing it off with their engrossing productions. Read on past the break to hear this lush release and to vote for your fave!
DJ Observer & Daniel Heatcliff drop another stunning release on the In Trance We Trust label that has summer written all over it. The track, entitled Cowabunga is simply irresistible, and with a name like that, who wouldn’t give it the time of day?
Subtle beats, subtle percussion, a touching theme and soft pounding strings on the eighth notes characterize this release, and it’s all there for for trance lovers. Tom Cloud took the remix assignment and turned the original into a deep and towering version that has full potential to become the anthem of this summer. Those of you who are familiar with the track listings of ISOS 6 and 7, know exactly what we mean. Tom truly did a marvellous job and it’s not only his additional programming and production, but also his newly designed break that will create a loving atmosphere on the dance floor.
In short: summer is on its way and Cowabunga is a perfect track for the season! Read on for high quality samples.
One of my fave progressive producers is back with a new gift for MusiCritics.com! This time around he’s spicing things up with a dark progressive track that still carries his signature groove and swing, but opts to shift things underground for a spine tingling good time. Be sure to snag this high quality 320kbps download, it will certainly do well early in the night as the sun sets over the beach!

The latest package from Red Force Recordings is brought to you by their newest recruit, Harry Dyer (also known as Gravity). “Red Light Green Light” caught our ears on first listen and well, needless to say, we just had to review it! “Red Light Green Light” is a playful, prog-trance track with bubbly plucks and a very warm theme. We’re sure you’ll find Harry’s sound as unique and refreshing as we have, with direct parallels to David West or Joonas Hahmo’s style of trance.
On the remix front comes Anjunabeats upperclassman Adam Nickey. Adam drops this track into 6th gear, adding in powerful drums, a driving bassline and his trademark lush synthwork to create a full-on monster. Harry also took a turn at remixing his own tune and the result can be described as slightly harder and a bit of a tease!
