Making quick fame at the moment as Essential Groovers, one half of this dynamic duo, JVA, delivers his first solo release with ‘Autobahn’.
The track hails to that progressive trance sound which brought Deadmau5 his fame, but without becoming an easy obvious copy JVA combines it with his own progressive beats. Jordi van Achthoven, Dutch Producer & DJ, is starting to make a name for himself, and this three track EP lands just in time for summer. And what a summer beat we have here! The AM Mix is just the thing I need to wake up to in the morning, with it’s slowly expanding vibe, while the PM Mix is a little rougher, harder and features a rather stereotypical vocal sample for electronica. There’s also a Radio Mix in the package, but we’ll just look past that one alltogether.
Good stuff we say, from this talented boy wonder and if you’d like to find out for yourself, head on over past the jump for some high quality samples. Be sure to cast your vote for favorite track too!
Well, I know I kind of promised the 500th review to Aaron, but what can I say, I just received Ad Brown’s latest production and I simply couldn’t wait any longer. So Aaron, I’m sorry, but in return, I’ll give you the 1000th review. Deal?
Moving along, this is Ad’s latest effort on Fris!, yet another of the many sublabels parented by Black Hole Recordings, and on remix duties we have none other than the recently unstoppable Steur Bros. The Original Mix reeks of Ad, what with it’s sexy kick drum and bass combination, oscillating synths and well crafted breakdown. This is destined to be a progressive classic, and that melody in the breakdown is so totally cheesy-inspirational-awesome-80s like that, frankly, who wouldn’t love it? FFS, seriously, I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again: This is currently the world’s best progressive producer! This track cements his position in my heart, and playlists…
Read on for samples of the Original Mix and the Steur Bros Remix. Also, be sure to vote for your fave!
It’s been awhile since I’ve reviewed an Oxygen release…A year, actually! >_>
But, seeing this one made me curious, and I always like checking out the fresh tracks from the new kids on the block…Kjeld Linus is one such producer. Nighttime is a stand-alone progressive house track that promises all the vibe of the nightlife, and more! Let’s check it out.

Groovy; what you would expect from the Steur family! ” - Aaron

Moove your arse.
Ah, a Jonas Steur track. You can count on techno-prog-house-style grooves and in this case, infectious vocals…Right? Well, that’s what I’ve come to expect! What I did not expect was to see Jonas’ brother, Simon, on remix duty, but then again, I should have expected that…This should be interesting! Read on for samples, and vote for your favorite Steur…Or remix. Whatever.

I’m not going to lie, this review has been sitting on my back burner for months now (since july!) and I’ve been afraid to tackle it simply because it includes 22 tracks. The entire album’s size is so daunting that I’ve had to take it in, bit by bit, until I was finally able to properly voice my opinion. It appears that day has come.
The entire album spans quite a wide spectrum, everything from dubbed and tripped out tech house, deep and soulful house and some club worthy progressive bangers! I’ll be highlighting some of my favorites and if you’re looking for some truly unique and amazing house productions, be sure to hit up the read more link!
I’ll be discussing the highlights, including high quality samples and provide you with all the juicy details about the album!
It’s been some time since I reviewed a house release and to be frank, I’m rather glad I am. The previous releases I’ve been reviewing have all been high tempo trance and techno, it’s nice to change this up. This latest effort from the Toes in the Sand Recordings group comes from Josel. Josel’s first release was on Toes in the Sand back in 2007 and he returns this month for his second effort on the label.
As I sit here, enjoying a fine french Bordeaux I can’t help but find myself immensely relaxed as I travel through this deep and soothing progressive soundscape. Along with the Original Mix are two mixes, one from Soulfinder and one from Storyteller. Read on past the break to get a rundown of each mix, some high quality samples and for your chance to vote for your favorite!
Adam’s not afraid to tackle trance classics, first with his monumental remix of Holden & Thompson’s Nothing, and now with a deep and chuggy remix of Sky Dive by Freefall featuring Jan Johnston on vocals. Atop his busy schedule as both Ad Brown and Maxi Valvona, Adam still finds time to rework some of his favorites from days gone by into current and effective bootlegs. Earlier in the year we pegged Adam as a producer to watch for in 2009 and we’re re-iterating it here: If he were a stock option, he’d be a BUY! Come to think of it you can buy stocks of Adam’s soul on Beatport!
Read on past the break for my quick rundown of the track, a high quality sample and if you’d like to convince Adam to release the track online for all his adoring fans, be sure to leave a comment. We’ll see if we can’t convince the man!

Mike always guarantees a little bit of quirk and a lottle bit of excellence ” - Aaron

Mike Mikhjian returns to the high-output Ora Recordings, with another EP guaranteed to have all that quirk, funk, bounciness, and quality that we know he can deliver! The Bevanda EP features Buona Bevanda, and Ocean Of Time (Featuring John Caza). Truth be told, we really don’t need to introduce Mike any further, so you need only read on!

This one would go down quite nicely in the club, on the beach, or in your headphones! ” - Aaron

Smu[th] Digital is the San Diego, CA (US) based label (Yay, semi-local talent!) that has smoothly made it’s mark on the scene, with releases from such artists as Arthur Schmidt, and Grube and Hovsepian. Noah Neiman has also been on the roster for some time, and he returns with a chunky EP laced with the vocals of Catherine, if you know who she is (If not, she has worked with a lot of the Smu[th] roster on Coldharbour, Red Force, and of course, Smu[th]!). You’re The One was made by Noah back in 2006, and he revamps it for a fresh new advent! Read on, check the samples!
It’s been awhile since we’ve plugged this up-and-coming Ukrainian label…Last we saw them they had a fantastic slice of techno for us! This time we get something from Russian producer Mechanica…Apparently in Russia, robot loves you! (Sorry about that xD) At any rate, Mechanica does have some stuff on the web, make sure you check it out! But first, check out this new EP. You’re getting the title track, and Illusion. Hop in!
