Evgeny Bardyuhza is a name I have certainly seen before, but I haven’t found the time to really give him a proper listen. Having just pumped out an album earlier this month, he is quite deserving of a bit of attention, and with this EP (And that album, which Andre reviewed it seems!) being kicked out on the Deep sublabel of Neuroscience Recordings, I could not resist, cause I love NeuroDeep! Read on for samples and an in-depth examination of these two tracks.

Ahoy Rocktronica...!!

The Ones We Love

Hiya All….!! I’m Shrey & I’m the new reviewer here (Big thanks to Andre) and this is my first review. Here we’ve latest release from Neuroscience recordings,  which is making its mark on the trance scene very fast.

Here’s the unusual collaboration between the young trance producer Rozza and an indie-rock group called “I AM HOPE“. Both of them hail from London, UK. “I AM HOPE” consists of 4 members as listed on their myspace page. Rozza debuted on Neuroscience last year with “Never Never Land”. This is the second release on the same label and it looks worth checking out, as it’s mishmash of genres to say the least!

Read On for my detailed review of each track and some samples.

Sean Truby pres. S Klass – Final Round EP [é música]

Uniquely understated and effective.

8.5/10

R-1814631-1245120360Sean’s literally burst onto the trance scene in recent months, with 4 full releases in the past 3 months.  He’s been featured on Red Force Recordings, Vandit Digital (yes, PvD’s label!) and now  é música. I’d say he might even be the new Sean Tyas, what with his new signature sound that’s sweeping the airwaves around the globe….let’s just hope he doesn’t saturate his sound too quickly. :)

This release, at first listen, didn’t stand out for me.  After I gave it a second listen I finally began to truly feel the motive behind the tracks, and I was instantly hooked.  The tracks are absolute stormers, even though they might seem rather generic, they certainly are not!

Read on past the break to get my full breakdown of this latest é música release, some high quality samples and for your chance to vote for your fav!

eyeball speaker sees you!

Up-and-coming Scottish producer Xtigma made an impressive release debut, back in 2008, with his remix of Paul Van Dyk’s ‘Far Away’ gaining third place in the remix competition. Since then, he’s been hard at work in his studio and returns with a very impressive three track EP.

It has been far too long since I’ve given the Neuroscience crew the attention they deserve, so I figured I should end the drought! This package provides 3 tracks that showcase some groovy progressive tones and some banging electro infused trance that are sure to rock you.

Read on for my take on all 3, some high quality samples and for your chance to vote for your favorite!

Andy Tau – Set Free [Neuroscience Recordings]

Posted by Andre on May 5 under Releases | Be the First to Comment | 44 views

ndeep046_200Andy’s sound has quickly become one of my favorites of the past year. His remix of Somewhere Else by Arpi on Neuroscience Recordings is constantly rotating in my playlists.  Since then he’s had releases on Infrasonic, Monster Force and Soup Recordings….to name but a few.

This latest effort, though not the entire release, comes from the Neuroscience Recordings camp and I had the chance to review Tim Grube’s (of Coldharbour fame) and Mike Hovsepian’s Zero Gravity remix.  The track is certainly unique.  It’s dark, eclectic at times and manages to combine dark techno into a progressive trance structure that simply blows my mind.

Read on for a high quality sample and be sure to show these amazing up and coming producers some love.  Here’s a few ideas to get you started.

David Shaw – Everyone Illuminated [Neuroscience Deep]

Posted by Andre on May 19 under Releases | Be the First to Comment | 10 views

My affection for Neuroscience Deep keeps growing, and their latest release certainly doesn’t hurt the cause. This latest progressive trancer comes from none other than David Shaw, who had an amazing featured track on one of Markus Schulz’ Presents Cold Harbour Selections Vol 14. The track in question was ‘Arabian Nights’, and just thinking of it still sends chills down my spine.

This latest effort, Everyone Illuminated, has been available on Beatport.com for nearly two weeks now, but somehow it got buried in my inbox for some time. The Original mix is a wonderfully constructed piece of melody driven progressive trance. Weighing in at over 10 minutes long, David manages to slowly and painstakingly build the song, layering lush pads, stabbed synths and a driving bassline that is often times pierced with an odd percussive element, or out there effects.

The supplemental remixes on this release provide quite varied takes on the original. Read on past the break for my full run down of the three versions, the Original and a remix from Perpetual and a slightly more banging version from Santerna.

Douglas Hazelwood – Guilty Conscience EP [Neuroscience Deep]

Posted by Andre on May 2 under Releases | Be the First to Comment | 12 views

We’ve had a wonderful love affair with NeuroScience, but its been sometime since our last encounter. Our latest review, courtesy of Douglas Hazelwood on Neuroscience Deep is a wonderfully crafted deep progressive trancer that reminds us of days of old….think back to 2004 when progressive trance was at its finest.

Douglas, also better known for his ‘Limin EP’ under his alias Arc, has been slowly proving that progressive trance is not down for the count. On his MySpace page he lists his styles as ‘Ghettotech / Electro / Progressive’, and elements from each of these styles are apparent in this fine EP!

‘Innocent’ is a fantastic prog trance track, with a punchy and deep bassline punctuated by a wonderful melody which plays atop electro and tech elements. ‘Guilty Conscience’ has a slightly edgier sound to it, providing DJs and fans a like something to enjoy in a dark and sexy club environment. Picture a sweaty Miami club…

DC Project – El Camino EP

Posted by Andre on April 29 under Releases | Be the First to Comment | 10 views

Rediscovering my love for deep and dreamy progressive trance, today I find myself obsessing over NeuroScience Recordings’ (UK) latest release, DC Project – El Camino EP. This EP is the hard work of a little known artist, so little known, that I have no clue if this is a solo project, their country of origin or anything else for that matter. One thing is for sure, El Camino and Absurd Things are two very intricately deep tracks that are sure to set the mood for a fantastic night, weekend or lazy afternoon. Continue reading for my full review of these two mini masterpieces. Oh, and if anyone has any info on the artist, please let us know in the comments.
