Neuroscience Recordings has been in the radar for quite some time, indeed I am pretty hooked on the Neuroscience Deep sublabel (Native – Choices in the Artificial Dreamer Remix, anyone?
). Estigma has made his way into the production scene just last year, with releases on Shah Music, and Istmo. Blue Rain appears to be his initiation on Neuroscience, and he is backed by Discover mainstay Manuel Le Saux, as well as Neuroscience sophmore Dallaz Project. This one promises to be driving, so hold on to your hat!

It’s been some time since I’ve taken the chance to review a release from one of my favorite labels of 2007, so here is my first of many for 2008 for Neuroscience Recordings. Run by Che Armstrong, the label made huge waves in ‘07 with releases from the likes of Michael Badal, Der Mytisk, Passive Progressive and so many other up and coming stars and 2008 is sure to deliver as well.
This release, from little known Spex, making his debut in 2006, provides an amazingly complex progressive trancer which shows that progressive does not equate to boring! The Electro Max Remix of the title track provides a slightly more club worthy version, and I’m sure we’ll be hearing it tearing up some of the housier/trancier clubs in ‘08! The last offering on the release, ‘Super Nova’, showcases a more eastern sound, with incredible synths and lush pads that simply take you away.

Some time ago, Andre (aka alefort) wrote me, asking if I wanted to write a few reviews of different tracks. This was an offer which I simply couldn’t turn down. So let’s get started! The track is called “Moments Magiques” created by Gabriel Batz and Nick Pilon . Gabriel has been a known name for a few years now. He has released several singles, remixes, and last but not least, his own album “The Colour of Sound”. Nick Pilon got his big break in 2004 when he headlined the Tiesto after-party at Aria afterhours. Nick’s career started, and he is now a popular performer in the world of trance music. Actually I have not been a loyal listener to their music, but that changed the very moment I heard “Moments Magiques”.

Knowing relatively little about In Progress, aka Pavel Pryde, when my ears first heard this stunning release, the word stunned barely begins to describe the state of shock I was in. The original mix, alongside two fantastic remixes, by the likes of Passive Progressive and DC Project, provided an incredibly well rounded and substantial release. Having found a comfy home at Neuroscience Recordings, a release date has yet to be inked.

Gabriel Batz’ latest beauties come courtesy of Neuroscience Recordings, due for release in early July 2007. The first of two offerings on this release, titled ‘Lullaby’, quite the descriptive title, which imposes a preconceived notion of calmness and dreamy beats. Lullaby is a tame progressive track, with a back end bouncy enough to make you want to move, while ‘Her Smile’ takes a more direct approach, showcasing an incredible melody! Overall, a fantastic release from Gabriel Batz, showcasing why he is known as one of the best ‘melodists’ in the industry. ‘Her Smile’ felt more captivating, but I recommend giving both a listen. The release will be available from all find Digital Download Stores on July 7 2007, be sure to get yours! Keep reading to find out why we loved the release!
