Timmy & Tommy are no strangers to infectious, club friendly techno grooves and this latest on Oxygen Recordings is even more epic than their previous work together. This young Irish duo have had releases land on Full Tilt Recordings (their own imprint I believe), Coldharbour Recordings, Armada and now Oxygen!
Repercussions is an epic monster of a track, doing much damage with very little. Much like their previous massive club hit Full Tiltin, this track meanders through dark and grimy sounds, and it’s slower than anticipated pace truly creates an atmosphere of anticipation and anxiety. Pair that up with some industrial claps and percs and you’ve got all the trappings of a massive club smasher that would destroy an underground club!
Well, look at what we have here. Sander is a staple on MusiCritics.com, and his recent string of trance productions have left some of his older fans waiting in eager anticipation for his next peak time belter, but this time around he returns to his house roots with a new track titled Reach Out.
Details are still very, very sparse on this production, and as such, we still have no idea which label this was signed to, or when it plans on being released. Here’s what we do know: If you enjoyed most of Sander’s Supernaturalistic album from a few years back, this track will sound familiar, while remaining futuristic.
Read on past the break for a full 4 minute sample of the track and our quick rundown of why you’ll likely love the tune. Be sure to chirp in with your thoughts, we’d love to hear why you hate, or love, the latest from this dj/producer legend!
I’m told these are brand new remixes of an old classic by Philip D, but frankly, I can’t find any details on the original track, and on who Philip D is exactly. I’ve found an artist on Discogs with the same name, is that you Philip? I’ve got a feeling this isn’t a classic at all, but regardless, we’re in for a treat with this latest sampler from RESET Records.
Randy is in my top 3 all time trance producers, and it’s his tribal influenced tech trance that instantly brings me back to 2004. Ah, what a time that was…Snapping back to the present day, this latest remix by Randy Katana is in your face from the start, with an oddly arranged kickdrum/hat sequence that gets the party rolling in no time! The track is full of build ups, break downs, groovy drums and an epic tribal house groove that steals heavily from his tech trance past.
Adding to the sampler is a remix from Addy van der Zwan who decides Randy’s epic version isn’t quite dark enough and tears a hole straight into hell from earth. Adding to the track’s allure is a simple vocal track, presumably taken from the Original. Read on past the jump for high quality samples and for your chance to vote for your fave!
The original, ‘Dead Famous,’ is self-produced and written by the band, Diagram Of The Heart. It will be their debut single and is set to be released on Monday 5th July on Deconstruction. It’s a huge slice of modern pop music that sees a gentle piano and string drenched opening before a wall of electronic synths crash against an irresistible, beat driven hook that looks set to cement Diagram Of The Heart as the band that will be the soundtrack for the summer of 2010.
Whilst the Michael Woods Remix transforms the original into an eight and a half minute dancefloor filler, as pulsing beats wash against lush, atmospherics and hushed vocals. I don’t normally review material of this style, but this is quite literally, the anthem of 2010’s summer months. Get to know it now so you can sign along, smile along and stomp along as you rock out on a sun drenched patio.

Well, its been over a week since I’ve posted a review, but fear not, I’ve returned from my vacation tanned, rested and ready to tackle this mounting pile of music. Let’s kick things off with a sneak peek at a track that will find itself released on Invasive Recordings alongside a tasty remix pack. To date, I’ve only had a chance to hear the Original Mix, but if this is an indication of where MACCA’s sound is heading, I want more. Alongside his epic Original Mix is a remix from Ron Reeser and Dan Saenz, two names that are quickly garnering loads of attention.
After the short intro the track wastes no time, as the chest shaking synths, bass drums and heavy kicks are part Joachim Garraud, Carl Cox and MACCA’s distinctive sound. At just under six minutes long this sweetie leaves you nearly panting for more and the epic crashes that are found throughout the track are rather epic-sauce.
Read on past the break for the only high quality sample you’ll find of this beauty online. Be sure to check out our older reviews of MACCA’s material for more club shaking, floor rocking anthems!
Looking for some massive Techno? Then look no further than this hot new release on Canadian imprint 4Play Trax. The sister label of Amplified Digital, 4Play has been making waves with new and up and coming Canadian producers with remixes from some of the world’s best young talent. This techno release isn’t exactly what you might typically hear on this label, but I welcome the change up with open arms.
Along with the Original Mix are techno remixes by Peppelino and a Re-work from Sadowick & SDK (Techno), while our very close friend Joran rounds things out with a banging house remix that is more techno than anything.
Another great package put together by 4Play Trax and definitely something different from their camp but still quality music for your for just about any setting, except maybe your wedding. Or is it? Read on past the break for high quality samples.
Henrik Kantola, aka ‘Chantola’ journeyed into the world of electronic music at the start of the millennium. Inspired by some of the top jocks and a self driven passion, this young Finnish talent began to produce in 2003. Beginning with Acid Pro and a hardware sequencer, Chantola played with basic loops and short tracks. As the results came, so did his hunger to buy newer equipment and software.
It wasn’t until 2007 that Chantola really found his break. Teaming up with a Helsinki based producer Jussi Vuorivirta, he formed a duo. Spiritus & Asper was born and full tunes began to materialize. In December 2008, their first completed production “Passion” was snapped up by Oulu based Wavedata Records, due out in June this year. As the momentum flowed, so did the label signings. With tunes set for release on Black Hole Recordings and Baroque, this young duo seem to be doing something right.
Today the main man Henrik Kantola presents his newest single Last Train To Mexico under his Chantola guise. A top progressive trance – progressive house – tech house release on the Nemesis label including remixes by Beach X, Wert and Paul Easy. If you like progressive trance, Finnish trance and groove you won’t want to miss this release. Samples after the break.

Just in time for WMC 2010 the boys at Bellboy Records are offering up a slice of springtime Tech-Funk with a bit of Nu-Disco sprinkled on top. Never one to be boxed into a specific genre Chris Cowie’s “X3” EP is a three tracker that has a little something for everyone.
Cowie’s first cut “3rd Degree” is a smooth four on the floor Tech-House number with large doses of funk and a springtime vibe that is perfect for the pools and beaches of Miami. If you’re tired of the winter blues “3rd Degree” is the right vehicle to get you headed into summer.
Cowie’s second entry “Disco Revenge” falls in the realm of Nu-Disco however the Cowman’s Tech-Funk vibe is stamped all over this one and it works beautifully! Great vibe, wonderful flow this Nu-Disco groover is unapologetically in a class by itself. Chris’s third offering “Sential” is for all the Bellboy massive out there that need the techier side of things no matter what time of year it is. “Sential” definitely has a springtime vibe to it but the techier lines are upfront and represented proudly with this number.
You don’t want to miss any of these beasts, especially “Sential”, which is just the perfect track for kicking a poolside set into high gear! Read on for some high quality samples and be sure to visit the label’s website.
Time to dive back into proggy and electric waters, with this very refreshing EP, by the mysterious UNKNOWN1234567890 (looks like we’ve got a few mysterious producers lately…).
We start with the summery vibe of the hybrid CAT4, which gives away a glimpse of its theme straight from the beginning. Progressive arrangement, though electric sounds and distortion are the key elements that come in to play with a gorgeous melodic arrangement.
As the track evolves through 4/4 and broken beats, we hear classic house stabs, as well as glitchy voices serving as a bed to the melodic plucks, driving the track into its massive climax with strings stabs.
The simple but effective TIME 000 is on the flip. Again, we can taste a little bit of that summery vibe from Cat4, but this time it’s all about butt-shaking groove. With a housey vibe, on a progressive tone, the track keeps building up over and over, through stabs and plucks. A very interesting EP, impossible to define due to its hybrid nature: progressive, techno, house, trance… there’s a little bit of everything on each second, of each track!
Read on past the break for some high quality samples and if anyone knows who the hell UNKNOWN1234567890 is, please, do let us know in the comments!

BT is without a doubt one of the most prolific producers in his field, and to prove that, we’ve now featured the first three singles from his latest artist album over the past 2 months! Taken from his upcoming album, this is another brand new single, featuring the intense vocals by Christian Burns. The track, entitled “Suddenly” will enchant every lover of vocal electronic dance music. Loaded with fierce edits and intense guitar work, the song makes a nod and a wink to the sound of mid nineties Depeche Mode and the chorus adds to the passion and vigor of the entire track.
The remix package offers a wide variety of versions. Celldweller, Cicada and Dave Darrell stay close to the original but still they’re all offering a different approach so that every DJ will find the best version for his live set at any given time. Ferry Corsten gave “Suddenly” his trademark trance make over which fits seamlessly in a state of the art big room event. Mr Sam turned the original into a massive, DJ friendly version that will certainly catch the attention of the big names. Also make sure to check out the JJ Mix, ’cause its down tempo rock arrangement and the heavy guitars are an absolute refreshing surprise.
After The Rose Of Jericho and Every Other Way, all taken from BT’s upcoming album “These Hopeful Machines”, we can state that this fabulous new single “Suddenly” will rock your party!
