Enhanced Recording’s favourite Estiva had a fantastic 2009 with releases like I Feel Fine EP (Reviewed Here), his debut compilation Enhanced Sessions and remixes for the likes of Couldharbour and gigs all around Europe. I’m right now really enjoying his remix of Eide & Andrez – Forget Me. Also, his colab with another young Enhanced artist Temple One (Joe Garett) is on the brink of release. Here he is with his 5th triple-tracker EP titled ‘Friends & Enemies’. The pack contains 3 tracks: 1 self-titled, ‘Privilege’ and ‘Dalmatia’.

This track originally came to my attention on an episode of Above & Beyond’s ‘Trance Around the World’. It was highighted as their tune of the week, and rightly so! At that time, it wasn’t signed to a label, but as you can tell, Enhanced Recordings didn’t waste any time picking it up!
Ferry Tayle has had a rather narrow career as a producer (most of his releases and remixes have been featured on Bonzai’s catalog), and this latest collab with fellow French man Static Blue expands his label repertoire to include one of the highest quality trance labels at the moment! This track, which includes two remixes (Karybde & Scylla and Andy Blueman) is pure aural bliss. Imagine lush pads, crisp melodies and a spine tingling breakdown.

The Flyers are a relatively new trio of producers hailing from Russia and Macedonia, and Mike Sonar is a young solo producer hailing from Poland. The 4 combined aim to create trance that evokes memories and thoughts of “nature, the sun and the moon, night ambience and the heights of heaven.” Wow, deep!
Though these two tracks aren’t heavenly in essence, they sure are angelic at times. ‘Frozen’ is a solid trancer that would fit well jacked up 8% in a Paul van Dyk set and ‘Despero’ is a happy little tale that really pushes the melodic and euphoric levels with adding an electro/tech infused groove.

Simon and Will have been bringing top quality productions to the world of trance music for years, and since 2005, the duo have been doing so on Enhanced Recordings. My first introduction to the label came at the hands of Emery & Kirsch’s ‘Lose Yourself‘. That track still melts me every time I hear it!
Since then a wave of producers have graced the covers of Enhanced Recordings releases. Producers such as Activa, JPL, Estiva, Tritonal, Elsa Hill, Anhken and countless others! This time around we’re dealing with A.M.R. who manages to fit right into the typical sound of the label. It’s crisp, energetic, clubby, balearic and groovy all at once!

Child label of Enhanced Music Limited, Enhanced Progressive have been churning out quality progressive trance since 2005, when they saw their first release feature Binary Finary and Jose Amnesia. Since then, I’ve purchased well over 6 of their releases (I had no idea!) and here I am today reviewing their forthcoming offering, ‘Vanilla Sky EP‘ by Arty. (Currently in pre-release on Beatport.com)
Arty’s a newcomer, as he’s seen his first release earlier in the year on Red-Silver Online-Digital. This 3 track EP is lush and absolutely mind melting. A few months ago I mentioned that I felt progressive trance was making a proper resurgence, and now months later, I can confidently announce it is in fact back in style. There seems to be a new breed of producers at the forefront of the progressive trance revival, and whatever it is they’re doing, they should just keep on doing it!
