Roger-M is a brand new name to me, and judging by his discogs page, a rather new name to you too. His first release, on Neutone Recordings, landed in 2008 and one could consider this his breakthrough release, on Tiesto’s venerable Black Hole Recordings imprint. Roger teams up with vocalist Eva, who’s been exclusively featured on Roger’s three releases, and I’m sure we’ll be hearing plenty more from this beautiful voice.
Along with the original Extended Mix are 8 other versions, with vocal, dub and radio edits from Jonas Steur and The Senate. Each mix doesn’t stray very far from the original, providing a veritable jackpot of balearic progressive trance that we’ve come to expect from Black Hole. Read on past the break for my full rundown of each version, some high quality samples and for your chance to vote for your fave!

Ville’s latest lands on Subtraxx (the very label of which he is head of A&R) and adds to its long list of illustrious, nearly entirely, Finnish producers. With names like Miika Kuisma, Sied van Riel, Allende, Arksun and others, Ville adds his second release to this impressive roster. With his first release in 2008 he’s been a busy producer and remixer with well over 10 tracks released in the past year. His facebook/twitter status updates also tell of a rather engrossed musical genius…
Sun Will Follow is a testament to the effect that warm summer days have on people’s moods, and this Balearic progressive number is deep and lush from top to bottom, start to finish. Along with the Original Mix is a remix by Marko Kantola of White Stars fame (of which I consider to have the top progressive trance release of the year with their Triangle Wave EP).

A slightly different edge from 2Play Recordings this time around, with a rather short and sweet 1 track release from Adrian Ivan. Adrian’s been around for some time, many of you might know him under his Mr. Pit guise and this latest draws some rather similar parallels to an old track I fell in love with, Re-Back on Well Mixed Records.
This latest is a journey through a face paced, euphoric trancescape that isn’t the typical 2Play sound. It’s bouncy groove, big room riffs and crisp kicks are a treat to hear, especially since summer has now officially come and gone. This harks back to those sun drenched days, bringing back those warm memories, even if for one day.

Mike Mikhjian returns to the high-output Ora Recordings, with another EP guaranteed to have all that quirk, funk, bounciness, and quality that we know he can deliver! The Bevanda EP features Buona Bevanda, and Ocean Of Time (Featuring John Caza). Truth be told, we really don’t need to introduce Mike any further, so you need only read on!

Along with Toes in the Sand Recordings, Swordtail Records is another of our favorite house labels producing cutting edge progressive, and this latest effort continues their string of successful releases.
Era is a deep and groovy little number that makes use of some exotic strings and a a vocal track that reminds me of Tiesto’s classic, Battleship Grey. The original is depicted in two different versions, a 1st Version and a 2nd Version. Adding an entirely different vibe to the track is Freza, with his Amphibian Remix.

piercing reds are calming, yes?
Simon and Will have been bringing top quality productions to the world of trance music for years, and since 2005, the duo have been doing so on Enhanced Recordings. My first introduction to the label came at the hands of Emery & Kirsch’s ‘Lose Yourself‘. That track still melts me every time I hear it!
Since then a wave of producers have graced the covers of Enhanced Recordings releases. Producers such as Activa, JPL, Estiva, Tritonal, Elsa Hill, Anhken and countless others! This time around we’re dealing with A.M.R. who manages to fit right into the typical sound of the label. It’s crisp, energetic, clubby, balearic and groovy all at once!
Along with the original mix we’ve got 2 remixes from Anjuna’s very own Daniel Kandi and 1 from Joel Gershom. Read on for my take on the tracks, for some high quality samples and your chance to vote for your favorite!

Thomas Sagstad & Novacoast deliver a balearic trancer on Tiesto’s very own imprint, Black Hole Recordings. I’ve been reviewing BH releases for some time now, and it seems the label’s aim is to deliver trance, often times progressive, with a strong balearic vibe. This latest release, Bombora Beach, is no different.
Though the title might lead you to believe that Bombora Beach is an actual location, it in fact, isn’t. A Bombora is an Aussie term for large sea waves breaking over submerged rocks. The original mix is a sultry little piece that transports you to another place, somewhere calm and warm. I’m such a sucker for string based melodies! On the B-Side, we’re treated to a tasty little remix by Ben Huijbregts, tiesto’s very own recording engineer. The remix is faster, darker and edgier, but still maintains it’s balearic roots.
Read on for some tasty high quality samples.

So there I was, surfing for some new tunes…And I came across a release from one Arthur Deep, on one Toes in the Sand Recordings, entitled Phoenix. Album art looked good, as did some comments on this release, so hey, I bought it, no sampling…As such, read on past the break…Let’s just see if it was worth the four dollars I paid. XD
