Joop – One [High Contrast Recordings]

Joop’s been around the trance scene for many years now, and with his first set of headphones and turntables at the tender ages of 13, he’s been on a tear ever since.  I discovered Joop in 2005 with his huge 2 track EP The World, but it wasn’t until his 2007 release, Prominent / On Top Of Things, that I really began paying attention to him.

In 2007 he was also selected to write the Trance Energy theme song, and though I never really liked the track, it swept the world with mass hysteria.  This latest effort, High Contrast’s 92nd release, is a single track EP that combines much of Joop’s influences and a new sound that is so deep you’ll find it rocks the very core of your existence.

The Verdict

Hands down, epic…dark…groovy!  I love each second of the track, it’s energy never lets up and there isn’t a dull moment to be had!
