One day we will meet again!

Up-and-coming Dutch producer Jerom brings us the first 2010 release on the Neuroscience Recordings imprint. Jerom is probably most known for his ‘Visions’ radio show, as well as some great releases on labels such as Bitter Sweet and Mostly (Dazzle’s label). The EP features two superb trance tracks by the names of ‘One Day‘ and ‘We Will Meet Again‘. ‘One Day‘ has already gained support from Tiesto on his ‘Club Life’ radio show. Both tracks are a great example of uplifting trance, showing Jerom’s talents perfectly.

Those simple in style, both of these tracks are superbly effective, you do not want to let these slip by, so hit up the ‘read more’ link and sample both tracks in high quality! Stay tuned for more from this talented producer!

The track kicks off with an old school Gielen like vibe, and into the second minute (aka 60 seconds in) the track retains an old school vibe as Jerom starts to layer synths, chords and pads to create a solid melody, as generic as it may be. Sometimes it’s nice to find something familiar in new places, Jerom does just that with this production. The breakdown is formulaic, but it’s effective at getting me moving. I’m almost sensing an old school Tiesto Vibe into the 5th minute, back when the man knew how to make real music. ;)

This track is a bit of sleeper compared to the full out effort in the A-Side, the melody in the breakdown is crisp, fresh and blends perfectly with the track as it carries on past the crash. Overall, this is the weaker of the two, but depending on your taste, this one might do it for you, and I’ve got a feeling this one’s a grower.

The Verdict

I felt compelled to highlight this release because it had been a while since a Neuroscience release caught my ear for being so pure and simple.  If you’re looking for something straightforward, uplifting and driving, give these two tracks a spin or two.  My favorite is definitely One Day.

Score: 7/10
