Enhanced Recording’s favourite Estiva had a fantastic 2009 with releases like I Feel Fine EP (Reviewed Here), his debut compilation Enhanced Sessions and remixes for the likes of Couldharbour and gigs all around Europe. I’m right now really enjoying his remix of Eide & Andrez – Forget Me. Also, his colab with another young Enhanced artist Temple One (Joe Garett) is on the brink of release. Here he is with his 5th triple-tracker EP titled ‘Friends & Enemies’. The pack contains 3 tracks: 1 self-titled, ‘Privilege’ and ‘Dalmatia’.

There’s a new electro imprint in town, and it’s poised to take over dancefloors across the world! Big Alliance Records has been making some noise lately with releases constantly charting on the Beatport, Trackitdown, Junodownload and Beatsdigital charts, and this new EP is sure to continue that streak!
Radio Jack is a on the right path to have a great 2010 and “Hit On EP” is just sure to kick start the new decade the right way. “Hit On This” is a mix of Electro House with the very popular fidgety sound, lots of swagger and you can see its a completely club destroyer! While “Hit On That” lands in the full Electro House lane with lots of rhythm and groove.
Having remixed Electro Super Star Wolfgang Gartner in 09, plus having worked with high profile labels like Netswork, Ego and System Recordings and with upcoming releases not only at Big Alliance Records but Starlight/Motivo you sure should keep an eye open for this talented producer in 2010!
Read on past the break from some killer samples of these two tracks, and if electro house is on your radar for 2010, be sure to add this bloke to your ‘to-watch-for’ list, he’s on mine now!
Ben’s not known for his original productions, it’s his powerhouse remixes that have garnered him loads of attention over the past 3 years. This latest effort includes a lovely vocal track and a melody that isn’t unfamiliar to those madly in love with John O’Callaghan’s work….I know I am!
The track, uplifting to its core, carries loads of drive and energy throughout, and with a lovely open air melody in the breakdown, this track is sure to melt faces worldwide. There isn’t much more to report on this one, it seems all we have so far is a sneak peek, 1 track preview, and I would assume more versions of the track are forthcoming on Liquid.
I don’t normally get this excited when a Discover release lands on my desk, but the thought of combining Activa, Peetu S and Reaky on Discover Dark, well, that’s the bees knees!
Discover Dark has quickly become one of my favorite go-to-labels, and with a massive 2009, the label has positioned itself well to explode in 2010. Who can forget Sean Tyas’ monster release, Rulebook? With his first single of the year, Activa steps up to the mark to deliver his most pounding tech trancer to date!
Hot off the press, ‘Sniper’ is as much about techno as it is about trance with its twisted grooves, filtered riffs and all round filth. Rob’s collaboration with Peetu S, which first featured on his excellent debut album “This World” keeps the riffs simple and bassline driving to push this E.P. home into heads down groove based darkness!! Reaky continues this theme with his rework as Discover Dark hit’s the ground running for 2010.
This release landed on my desk by happenstance and I was pleasantly delighted to get a chance to finally review a Moussa Clarke remix pack that features one of my favorite trance producers of recent years, Vadim Soloviev! Slammin Muzik in Germany are re-releasing Moussa’a track Love Key this year, featuring lovely sultry vocals from the rather talented Karen Fisher from California, with a massive package of new mixes.
Russia’s Vadim Soloviev (Ava Recordings) delivers a main-room progressive monster while showing off his considerable production skills. This is a rework you will not want to miss! Albania’s Adam Reeves & Arbre Blass (Wormland Black) take it slightly deeper for a mix which has been shaking the foundations of Adam’s Lollipop Club residency in Tirana. Spain’s Peter Brown steps in with a sun-soaked tribal workout which will provide the perfect beachside sonic backdrop from Dubai to Barcelona to Florianopolis to Kazantip, and last but not least the USA’s Peter Haze goes for a big room electronic vibe that will rock your body to the core.
Previewed just this week by Ferry Corsten and Armin van Buuren on their respective radio shows, this smashing track is the latest in Sander’s arsenal of club destroying tunes. With a title like Daisy, I’ll have to assume this is in relation to his appearance at the Electric Daisy Carnival in California this past summer (a festival where our very own Aaron attended!).
This track is once again a progressive melting pot of tech house, trance and electro fused together to create a rather surprisingly well balanced and homogeneous audio experience. If you’d like to get a sneak peek at the track, he’s posted a solid 3 minute sample of this beast to his SoundCloud account. The track sees a Beatport release on Feb 16, 2010!
Head on over to hear it before the rest of the world does!
With the release of this brand spanking new title Xelerate, Richard Durand should be added to the list of hardest working men in the industry. His Always The Sun is still doing very well, and the singles and remixes taken from the album are rocking dance floors all over the world!
Richard himself kicked ass last December during his tour through Down Under with of course a very successful live set at Sensation White in Melbourne. The fans that followed him through his Facebook page even saw some unique videos of the man playing at smaller outdoor events, with sweat pouring down his face and at times taking a chance to dance together with the audience. And Richard’s enthusiasm, energy and love for music not only show while he’s behind the decks, no, this completely new release simply confirms it.
Xelerate is a fantastic, high powered and super energetic track with a fat, swampy bass line and a hard hammering theme that will draw even the worst dancer to the dance floor. If you’re a DJ and you want to add an absolute floor filling sure shot to your collection, then this is the one for you. Get ready to drive your audience crazy, let them raise their hands during the break and all that ’cause you’re playing the latest Richard Durand. Xelerate: an instant classic!

Making an overdue return to Neuroscience is the hugely talented Andy Tau, with his new Trilucid alias. Andy certainly needs very little introduction, with recent plays by all of the big names including Armin van Buuren, Markus Schulz, Ferry Corsten and Above & Beyond. With this next release, we’re sure this trend will continue!
The ‘Apollo‘ EP features two superb original tracks, with each track showcasing Andy’s ever-growing talents. We don’t think these tracks will disappoint! Backing up the original tracks we also have two great remixes. Neuroscience regular Paul Rigel puts his unique stamp on ‘Apollo‘. Meanwhile, Deluna makes his Neuroscience debut, and remixes ‘Last Chorus‘. With support from Ferry Corsten (Corsten’s Countdown) and Mark Pledger (Anjunabeats Worldwide), this release is bound to make it big!

This track was first flagged by Robert Burian (aka Robbie Buri) nearly two weeks ago and since then it’s found its way into my hands. Robert, thanks for pointing this gem out and to Oxygen Records, thanks for thinking of us here at MusiCritics.com!
So, who exactly is Radion 6? No one seems to know, and that’s just the way the producer(s) and label heads want it. This isn’t Radion 6’s first release, with The Serengeti finding its way onto Oxygen Records last year. This follow up, Bomberman, is a well crafted sleeper tech/electro trancer that seems to have its roots in Sander van Doorn’s trance of 2005 (especially his massive hit Adrenaline under his Purple Haze guise). With a massive room sound, a crisp kick and bassline combo, this track is destined to become the perfect trance warm up track, or transition track of WMC.
Read on past the break for a high quality sample and be our guest at guessing who this producer is! Also, I wasn’t much of a Bomberman video game fan in my youth, is the melody in this track anything like the game’s?
Fresh off their remixes on Outstanding and Pacha Recordings, The House Moguls kick start 2010 with yet another prime time original. “Only One”, featuring vocals from new diva on the scene, Bekah is another dynamic approach from The Moguls. Fusing techy drums with progressive synth lines and string arrangements, your sure to find yourself engulfed in the emotion of this track.
On remix detail The Moguls selected a batch of talented & respected producers. Hot off his WMC Anthem, Dj Chuckie & LMFAO “Miami Bitch” remix, Inphinity drops a rugged late night stomper, while electro pimp Kyle Watson brings his signature electro funk fusion. Also on the bill are heavyweights Dumb Dan, Paul Damixie, Paul Deighton, Alexander Orue, and Australian Idiot House Heads Acid Jacks!
