Well, I’ve been a big fan of Sly One, aka Graham Crockford, for some time now (thanks to his collabs with Jurrane) and this latest effort on Discover is a departure from his usual sound. Graham’s first productions landed way back in 2004 on now defunct Magic Beans Records and if time is any indicator, he’s been crafting his skill.
The Original Mix is a mellow and uplifting trance number that includes some lush and exotic female vocals. On remix duties we’ve got Egyptian trance powerhouses Aly & Fila that take the slightly energetic original and turn it into a peak time face melter. As an added bonus we’ve got an extra track titled You that is very progressive in style and includes a rather infectiously groovy beat.

The Verdict
I’ve got to commend both Graham and the Discover team for changing things up drastically. This isn’t your typical Discover ’sound’ release and it has such a deep and groovy sound throughout that I simply can’t help but swoon over this entire release. As for my favorite? I’m giving the Original Mix of This Late Stage the nod.
