intudeepfancehFresh out of the doors of the Intuition camp, more specifically from the Intuition Deep sublabel, this one is a single track from Richard and Moore, who appear to actually be none other than Cliff Coenraad and Thomas Hagenbeek. These two have been doing various remixes together, and put out the track Filthy Ripper last year on Marco V’s In Charge imprint. Pretty much all I’ve got to say! Read on for samples and the review.

A big stab sets us off, and quickly fades out to a filtered environment. We build and build, starting with nothing but a kick and an arp; bring in some lovely pads, and rambunctious stabs and off we go! Throughout you’ve got this morning atmosphere, it’s simply lush, warm, and well, lazy in the good way…Suppose I could have written relaxed, but I stand by what I say. Add in a fresh melody, played out on a combo of guitar and synth, and the overall feel of the track is just lit. It really takes you places, but where it takes you is really your choice, I suppose. For me, it’s like I’ve woken up before dawn, and decided to hit the freeway and drive to Vegas. Anyways, the second break of the track introduces another melody, that ramps up the energy and really drives it home…Or to Vegas. Your pick ;)

A lovely track from this duo! The Big Giant Head did mention a Fred Numf remix, wonder what happened. Remix EP, I suppose! But this is just a marvelous effort, and a perfect set opener, for those of you that spin the wheels of steel. 9/10!

    Andre said,

Funky little progressive number. Definitely has the summer vibe all over it. At times, I wish the intuition label put out more releases, but then I hear gems like this and I’m reminded why they don’t.
