John Askew – Vandalism [Discover Whitelabel]
“Vandalism” is John Askew’s first single since the release of his highly acclaimed artist album “Z List Uber Star” last summer.
Already smashed by Paul van Dyk at all his recent gigs, including Trance Energy and several radio plays on his legendary Vonyc Sessions show, “Vandalism” is a heads down teeth smasher with big balls made of British Steel. The 7th release on this young Discover sublabel it showcases a slightly different Askew sound. It’s gritty and smashing all around, with a certain crisp air to it all. The track stands out, mostly thanks its new-age Askew sound, but also because it seems to lack something. All in all, the track is a solid club contender, but it seems to have been put together rather quickly and lacks any depth.
