Up next is the latest offering from the Intuition camp (No, this one was released a couple days ago, as opposed to a couple months ago, Andre
). Cesar Lugo hails from Mexico, and this is his debut EP on Stellar Sounds: Angel Moon and Appearance! With the exception of Topher Jones and Arney S., we haven’t seen a real barrage of Intuition talent hailing from the western hemisphere, so I am curious to see how Lugo performs. Read on!

Reconceal is a producer that was indirectly introduced to me by our very own Andre, through his weekly podcast (You’re welcome for that shameless plug, Andre
). This new single, When I Find You, comes armed to the teeth with five mixes; an original and Bangin’ mix, and remixes by newcomer Pulze, and weathered face smashers Marcos(déjà vu, anyone?), and Simon Bostock. Read on!

I wish I knew how this release managed to slip by me, but somehow it’s been sitting on my desk since the fall of ‘08. I ought to be punished for that. Orjan, or to some, Orjan Nilsen, DJ Governor, pops out his latest effort on the Intuition Recordings label, and what a stormer these are!
Orjan’s had a string of hits, most prominently ‘La Guitarra’, which was whored by just about every DJ the world has ever seen, and I’m also guilty as charged. He has this ability to make memorable music, music you simply have to put on repeat, day after day. This release takes the ‘in-your-face-ness’ of ‘La Guitarra’ and tones it down to create a release that is more suitable for a peak party hour.
Read on to find out more about ‘Villa Blanca’ and ‘Soulflayer’. I’ve even included some high quality samples!

Bootlegs aren’t hard to get ahold of, but when they’re this good, you simply can’t pass them up. Produced by two of today’s premier jocks, this Nine Inch Nails rework has been catching on like fire in DJ circles (Armin’s been busy wearing it out on his ASOT show) and believe me, these bootlegs warrant the attention they’re getting!
The remixes manage to keep the original NIN sound while giving it the 2009 trance treatment. Read on for high quality samples and my take on the Vocal and Dub versions.

Up next is a release off of Green Martian (A Bonzai sublabel)…TaylorK’s Tetramorph. Included is a remix by Chinese upstart Yuan, who I’ve been keeping my eye(or is it ear?) on. Enough banter, let’s dive in!

Having recently discovered the ‘Jesus Loved You’ label, I was simply ecstatic to discover this little beauty as it crossed my desk. Valentino’s been my favorite techno producer for years now, and this latest collaboration celebrates his 33rd birthday. Clever, no?
With artists such as Kanzyani, Marko Nastic, Umek and others, it isn’t hard to see that JLY is an absolute powerhouse in the techno realm. The A-side, 33a, starts off slowly, and creeps effortlessly as Valentino and Tomy continue to introduce layers, effects and vivid percussions throughout the track. On the B-side we’re treated to a more hectic rendition of the original. They’ve added a hair raising saw-ed synth to the mix and the build up highlights an entrancing wind instrument.
Read on for my full take on the release and some high quality samples.

Matan Zohar is no stranger to the trance & house scene. Having burst onto the scene as Mat Zo in 2006, he’s had releases on AVA Recordings, Anjunabeats, Smuth and countless others. His sound has always been unique and captivating, with his ‘Foot and Mouth EP’ being my all time favorite of his.
Jump to the present day and Matan has unveiled his latest productions, ‘Our Self’ and ‘Afraid to Let Go’ under a new guise, Matan Zohar (which is coincidentally the bloke’s full name). Staying true to his mantra, ‘Good songs don’t rhyme’, this release packs loads of deep progressive trance, and his signature danceable edge. His skill lies in his ability to smoothlessly integrate sounds, often times spanning many different styles and cultures.

Up next is a collaborative sequel between the auspicious Sied van Riel and the scene veteran Geert Huinink…Sunrise. A follow-up to their first work, Minimal Symphony, this one should be quality…I wasn’t that huge a fan of their first work, admittedly
. That being said, on remix duty is none other than the beast known as Topher Jones, whose work has varying degrees of edge, but a consistent degree of awesome. Let us see what these guys have cooked up for us!

James Kirsch (or JimmyK) grew up in Newton, MA, playing classical piano and absorbing everything from Suzanne Ciani to Metallica. He attended Oberlin college in Ohio, hoping to further his musical horizons at their prestigious conservatory. Fast forward to 2009, and 5 albums later, James is well known in the online space as General Fuzz.
Honing his soft-spoken cutting edge sound, Fuzz manages to pluck sounds from a multitude of genres; Genres which I’d claim have shaped his sound and continue to evolve from album to album. For more on his evolution, be sure to check out his full bio @ GeneralFuzz.net. The album remains downtempo at it’s core and his cunning titles showcase a truly insightful side to this artist.
Read on for a few samples of the tracks on this album that really spoke to me and be sure to grab your very own copy of the album. Did I forget to mention its completely free?
