Alright, this time around I’m giving you guys a little insight into the upcoming Evil Robot EP, coming soon on Oxygen Recordings…This track is entitled “EP3,” and, well, it’s made by Jonas Steur under his Evil Robot alias(Of course ). Released on Black Hole Avanti on July 29th, Zoo Brazil’s latest release is a lesson in progressive house. Zoo Brazil are Swedish Techno producers John Andersson and Johan Emmoth, and with releases on multiple labels, dating back to 2001, the duo are by no means newcomers.

I’ve never personally had the chance to listen to their previous productions, though having seen their productions playlisted by some of the world’s biggest jockeys, I figured it was about time.  From start to finish, I wasn’t disappointed. The A side features ‘Crossroads’, a production that stands it own, but manages to draw from other producers, and I can’t help but be reminded of a more refinied John Dahlback tune. On the flipside we’re treated to a blippy techno track, ‘Nickers’, that carries a brooding emotion throughout.

And here we have the latest pieces of Intuition music, Airbase’s Tangerine, and Spion. Airbase has made quite a splash in the scene, with his now-classic Escape…His music also found itself on Tiesto’s In Search of Sunrise compilation, the track in question being Denial. At any rate, let’s get right down to business and check this release out; Tangerine is supposed to be a melodic bit, and Spion is supposed to be a stomping tech number. This isn’t the first time we’ve featured a release with Marcie’s vocals, and as relentless as she seems to be, i doubt we’ve seen the end.  This latest release comes courtesy of Well Mixed Records and is produced by heavy hitter Eddie Sender.

Eddie’s known for his signature edged trance sound, and he manages to take euphoria to a new level.  This production is no different from his norm.  The Original Mix balances Marcie’s unique sound with Eddie’s perfectly while the remixes provide different views and should please just about anyone.

If Marcie’s vocals aren’t your style but find yourself digging Eddie’s sound, look no further than The Dub Mix. Possibly one of the hottest producers on the earth at the moment presents his own take and Danilo Ercole once again proves he deserves to be in the limelight with this remix. A deeper rendition of the original balanced with edgier elements.

So I was Beatport browsing today, and happened to notice a new Digital Remedy…The Guy Mearns EP. Given my first Digital Remedy experience, I deemed this one as “Definitely Worth Checking Out.”

Moreover, given my massive music organization project, I have had to put DJing on hold…Reviewing, however, is still do-able…So here I am! Random sidenote notwithstanding, read onward to hear more about this potentially awesome release.

I don’t even know where to start….how disorienting!  I’ll begin with the standard vitals…

Dom Rimini, aka Xavier Gassemann, erupted onto the scene in 2007 with his debut EP ‘Time To Panic’ on Rise Recordings. Melting sounds from many genres, he isn’t afraid to take elements from electronica, Hip Hop, Rock, Soul and Funk!

His latest offering, ‘Kick N Run EP’, available on Delicious Gutter, a partnership with Baltimore Gutter king Aaron Lacrate, takes Funk to a whole new level.  As I tossed the CD in I really had no expectations, and from the very first song, I knew that my ears were in for a whirlwind of new experiences.

Up next is a quaint little release that found its way into my inbox, from producer Sunn Jellie…This is the Sail EP, released on Ukrainian label Really Really Big Records(Or RRBR, henceforth, cause that’s a bit of typing ). I have heard absolutely nothing with regards to the artist or label, but when I popped this one into the player, I found it nice and relaxing, so I want to share it with you guys!
