Randy Boyer and Eric Tadla – Light Years Away [Istmo Music]

It is with heavy hearts that we must see the passing of producer Eric Tadla. However, his works shall ensure the survival of his spirit. With his close friend, and partner in production, Randy Boyer, he had a part in bringing the future classic CQ into the scene, but they didn’t stop there. Productions streamed from the duo, and their latest one is this; Light Years Away. I am not sure if this was indeed their final production, but what I do know is that this release is a proper goodbye to, and from, Eric Tadla. Read on past the break to check out the release.

Leon Bolier pres. LWB – Deep Red [Captured]

Posted by Aaron on July 20 under Releases | Be the First to Comment | 37 views

So there I was, thinking to myself: “I’m overdue for a review!” Ergo…Here I am! I’ve decided to pick up Leon Bolier’s newest project, Deep Red, under his newly forged LWB alias. I’ve already made my affinity for Bolier’s work known, so I’ll spare the background spiel and jump right in. Well, there’s one thing I could mention, so I will…

This was released on Captured Music (Understandably so, given Bolier’s collaboration with Captured’s owner, Mike Shiver). Also, rising star Joni Ljungqvist provides a remix, under his JPL alias(How apt. :P ). Read on past the break to see what I’ve got to say.

Alan Marcero – Remember Me [Amon Vision]

To many, the name Alan Marcero might be foreign, but seeing his 3rd major release with support from the likes of Armin van Buuren, Sean Tyas, Daniel Kandi and others, it’s no surprise to think that we’ll be hearing from this young talent for many years to come!

A web designer by day in Vermont, Alan provides a stellar production on the successful Australian imprint, Amon Vision. The original version of ‘Remember Me’ is a tight, electro infused trancer that could easily find home in a set from heavy weight Markus Schulz, but still manages to dole out enough energy to warrant a play or two my Sean Tyas.  Along with the original, we’re treated to a remix pack including versions by Cresside, BuRo, System K and Rob B.

Menno de Jong and Mark Otten – Mad World [Intuition Deep]

Posted by Aaron on July 3 under Releases | Be the First to Comment | 23 views

Up next is the debut of the new Intuition sublabel, Intuition Deep: the collaboration between Menno de Jong and Mark Otten, entitled “Mad World.” I’ve been waiting for this one for some time, so hopefully it’s some great stuff! On remix duty is Swedish hotshot Marcus Schössow. I’ve a tiny bit of skepticism floating around in my mind about his mix; samples didn’t show much promise…But hey, I do not mind being proven wrong…Anyways, the story behind this one is that it is aimed at reflecting the amount of tragedy and chaos in today’s world…

“It’s a Mad World indeed. Terrorist Attacks, Natural Disasters, Politics, the rise of the East, so many real events that are so shocking that they are nearly unreal.” (intutionrecordings.com)

Anton Chernikov – Kerudu/Bumourdia [JOOF]

Posted by Andre on July 2 under Releases | Be the First to Comment | 16 views

Anton Chernikov’s name is certainly not new to the scene, but what he’s managed to craft under his ‘Crystal Verge’ guise is a breath of fresh air.  With tech elements through out, it remains a progressive-psy trancer with an inordinate amount of energy from start to finish.

Having never been one to stand by, Anton has decidedly taken charge with this nu style he’s adopted, and it’s varied elements are sure to please even the most discerning ear. The A side has more energy than the B side, and I found it to be more pleasing overall.  With that said, ‘Kerudu’ is possibly the first bit of Psytrance that I’ve truly enjoyed and ‘Bumourdia’ managed to cast an atmosphere of both hope and despair!

The release found its way onto JOOF and was recently released!
