On May 6, producer/DJ/multi-instrumentalist Dennis White (AKA Static Revenger) unveils his latest project Love Song Surprise. Co-produced by Supreme Beings of Leisure’s Ramin Sakurai and co-written by 2007 BBC world music award nominee Duke Mushroom (Bole 2 Harlem), Love Song Surprise is an electronic based record filled with skilful song writing/production and pure emotion.
Let’s be honest, many of us have probably never heard of Dennis prior to this album, and I certainly had not as well. Having been sent a copy a few weeks ago, this album has quickly found its way in our CD Player, at home and in the car, and hasn’t left since. It’s quickly become my album of the year, though the year is still young, I am fairly confident this album should outlast the year!
With skillful instrumental work, taking from electronica and indie rock roots, the album oozes of emotions, from the downtempo and mellowed out opener ‘So High’ all the way to the slightly dancier ‘I Feel Love’.

Hot off their first Release, Real Legacy Recordings presents their latest gem, titled ‘Colombia’ by label owner Der Mystik. Colombia is often known for its diverse culture which permeates every aspect of Colombian life. I can only hope this release accomplishes the same! On remix duties, DJ Eco provides a slightly more mainstream tech trancer while Callum B delivers a more club friendly electro styled house version.
After several success with Proglifter, Percivalesque and Métaphorique it was time to do a little more and Cape Town did, producer Airwave and Ferry Tayle teamed up to make a bunch of new tracks and rework some old tunes which are all comprised in this brilliant true tance album and is for sure one of the big releases of 2008. With a remix contest coming on this album as well, it promises to be a big release!!!
