Rozza – Discover: Original & Adam White Remixes

It’s been a few weeks since we last posted a review, we’ve been busy organizing and planning our Tracklists.ca & Bonzai Music Birthday Giveaway. Today we have the opportunity to review Emalodic’s (Adam White) third release, ‘Rozza – Discover’. Discovered by none other than Adam’s better half (luv ya Emma), Rozza, a 19 year old producer from London has definitely begun paving his way as a staple in the Trance industry. The release features the incredibly energetic Original Mix and on the flip side, Adam’s very own interpretation. Keep reading for our full review!
From the start, Rozza makes use of beautiful synths and lush pads, instantly giving the track warmth and just enough depth to charge up a crowd, or just as well, a solitary listener. Roughly 90 seconds in, the beautiful melody is finally introduced and it produces a slight surge of euphoria in the listener. Slowly building energy, this is certainly a peak time summer track, closing my eyes I picture myself taken away to the beaches of Ibiza (which sadly are quite empty at the moment), I close my eyes and am taken away. The low end meshes perfectly with the lush pads that were introduced early on. It’s no mystery now why this track has been abused by the likes of Armin van Buuren, Above & Beyond and Paul Kershaw! With the build up peaking just shy of the five minute mark, the energy is carried beautifully, while slowly drifting into a calm bliss. Overall, a beautiful and simple example of proper melodic trance!
On the flip side, Adam lends his steady hand at remixing this melodic trancer, and glancing quickly at the length of the song, Adam certainly felt the song deserved to be longer! From the start we get a different feel for the pads as they mesh with the slightly edgier low end. Much like Rozza’s original, the melody begins to appear just after the 90 second mark, but Adam seems to have taken his time to fully introduce it, slowly building gradual anticipation until, finally, just shy of the three minute mark, it shines! Having kept the melody nearly intact, Adam has added some elements that allow it to display it’s slightly exotic characteristics. Adam introduces an element: a soft and sensual female voice that says ‘Discover….’, a perfect highlight! An extremely dreamy mid section leads into a fantastic percussion section near the six minute mark, energizing the listener. Another fantastic remix from Adam which manages to slowly build energy while not peaking, nor dipping, a perfect song to start an evening, or re-energize a crowd after a long night of dancing!
